SACRED GAMES || A FULL REVIEW|| NETFLIX NEW SERIES

Netflix india has proved that indian series can compete with the other popular series of hollywood. I would suggest you to watch the series.
#sacredgames, as the name suggests 'sacred' and 'games', is the best crash course in spirituality.

Nawazuddin and Vikram Kocchar, what brilliant acting !!!

Beautifully written for web series by Varun Grover, Smita Singh, and Vasant Nath. Kya likha hai ek ek dialogue, here are a few of my favourites-

Well written, well executed. Netflix running high on their previous success in the "crime -drama" genre produces sacred games is not a typical good cop - bad gangsta story. In fact the story is a great statement on the current socio-political condition of our country. It tells you about it through the series of historical events and how the events still happens in the similar fashion without us learning from our past. This makes sacred games not so generic as the other cop-gangsta drama. The story is ticking like a time bomb and is very gripping. The cinematography is beautiful presenting the neo noir-ish feel of Mumbai and its inhabitants. The editing is just gorgeous, the way the balance and the fluidity between the two parallel story lines never takes away the grip from the audience. Production wise, Anurag Kashyap finds another Mumbai within Mumbai never repeating from his previous works on the city. Acting is top notch, you could see the actors had gotten space on improvisation where they could explore the character in various directions. Some how I didn't like the soundtrack in the series.

Its first of Netflix India Original and what a start it is.
In my view it is in par with Netflix other hits such as Stranger Things or Narcos in terms of connecting with the audience and gripping story telling.
The acting done by lead actors and even the side actors is simply brilliant. The cliffhangers are genuine in every episode and forces one to press the next button at end of every episode.
What I liked most is the methodology of story telling. The parallel drawn between lives of Sartaj and Nawaz. The story also revolves in circles. Effect comes before the cause and still the true effect remains to be discovered. All the characters are deep and have tons of layers to it.
My final view : 5 out of 5 and hats off to both directors. Saif should do more of these serious roles.
And as he says "My story is like scorpion. Once it stings you, you can't get off."
Note: Very strong language and explicit content. Probably the darkest work of Anurag Kshyap.
There are some bold words which were used . "bhagwan insaan se kahani mein baat karta hai" "bhagwan ko l*** farak nahi padta" "Kabhi kabhi lagta hai apun hi bhagwan hai" "Ye duniya kaise shuru hua pata nahi, kaise khatam hoga, pata hai" "bhagwan ko chorro, jaadu maante ho? kabhi kabhi lagta hai apna life jaadu hai" "tu meri kismat badlega? dono ek dusre ki badlenge" "kaun kisko kaise jaante hai, itna seedha seedha nahi hai" "bhavishya dikhta tha paani mein" "aisa lagta tha apna life puran ki katha hai" "poori duniya apni kahani ka chota chota hissa hai" "lagta hai che janam pehle ki baat hai jab main ma ko dekha" "dharam kya hai? ma hai ki baap. jo bhi hai apun azaad ho gaya. ab apun ko naya dharam mangta tha. Bambai." "ja ke dekh record mein, insaan hai ki bhagwan" "zone tera(13)" "keede jaisi life. hai kya idhar pyaar Karne ko. pyaar nahi hota to kachre ke dher mein qila nahi banaya hota" "ankhein band kar ke bolo aham brahma asmi" "sab kuch dikhayi dene lagega" "jaisa sochoge waisa hi hoga" "aadmi ke dimaag mein bhagwan ka idea kahan se aata hai" "tu mereko maar diya to hamesha zinda rahega, ashwatthama hai tu." "jab kisi ko maaro to apni shakal uske jaisi dikhne lagti hai"
